Mach Pelican "A Secret Session" Single Launch

There was already plenty on this week for me and by the I had gotten around to it the table seating for the Counterfeit had sold out. No matter this is one I wanted to go to also so I made sure I got a ticket to this as soon as possible. I enjoyed seeing Mach Pelican's set at the 45th anniversary gig for Sunglasses After Dark at the Tote last year and only saw the bands playing in the front bar as it was impossible to get in the band room.

I did bring the photo prints from the film camera that I took at that gig and at the Meanies a couple of weeks later. After the show I gave them to K-Rock from Mach Pelican, Wally from the Meanies and the rest to Phil from Sunglasses After Dark. The photo of Shane went to Leanne behind the bar.

I had not seen the two support bands and also realised I needed earplugs as it was going to be loud and it was a small room. Even though it was crowded it was not aggro as everyone wanted to have a good time and a lot of older punters were there.

Turms out there were more than enough photographers for this show as Mark and Julian Wu turned up and were up the front. Luckily, I had a seat on the bench seat at the side and only occasionally got up to take a high angle shot or one of the punters.

Was a great show and good to see Mach Pelican play again. They did play one extra but were pretty much spent, even taking off their leather jackets as they got too hot during the show. Toshi has a bunch of bands coming out on tour and also Julian has some coming too so I will see how I go.
