I don't know when I started listening to Twang, must have just left the radio on after listening to Film Buff's forecast one day and decided to keep listening the next week. I was going back to my parents every couple of weeks in the early 2000s so I did not really hear it as much and I was mainly playing video games, watching movies at Chinatown Cinema and walking for my entertainment back then and not going to gigs as much. I had been going to see stuff at the Rosstown Hotel and some stuff in St Kilda.

I do remember it was one of the first shows I subscribed to on RRR FM after "The Spin" that was on the Sunday (I used to turn the radio off as I found JVG annoying). I never used to wake up early on the weekends and could actually sleep in so I would not hear Tim Thorpe that much.

Cut to 2009 when I had been to a lot more gigs and also RRR BBQ Day for eight years in a row by that stage and I was happy to go to the Grand Ole Twang when it was on and only missed two for other reasons. I had also not been to some of the later ones due to not living in Melbourne for a year but did get to listen to RRR FM when I moved back. While I am not going to as many gigs these days I do still get to listen to the show when I am not on the way to an afternoon gig at the Brunswick Ballroom. I use the Saturday for doing my drawings when I am at home as I started this when I had to work Saturdays and was not getting indeed any calls on the weekends.

Was a great line-up for this show and a lot of people wanted to come to this but could not make it. I am looking forward to going to see Ella Hooper do the Linda Ronstadt show now as I did not go to Out on the Weekend last year due to having something else on.

I can't really run around taking photos these days but they had someone doing that so I am happy enough to let them and just take photos from my seat.

I did get a few photos out the back while looking for another toilet, gone are the days I would just wander through the office to go out the back. The family photo of the Wagons photo stays with them unless they want to release it. I did get a hug from Kerryn Fields and a photo of her and Ella Hooper standing on a box. I did apologise to Kerryn for not being able to make it to her launch the next day but I couldn't even go to a friend's birthday due to no money also not wanting to look at Jimmy Stewart's stupid head.

Don't know when another one of these will be on. I actually listened to the whole show again going through the photos but due to being in Facebook jail I could not share the link so no one knew they were up.
